What we collect when you sign in
Google sign-in provides your basic profile information and email address. The Artificial Post uses that information to identify your account and provide the signed-in library.
Account data is stored through Supabase. This includes your email, reading preferences, saved articles, newsletter consent, and course enrollment and lesson progress.
Reading activity and analytics
We record limited first-party events such as pages viewed, articles opened, saves, source clicks, video opens, searches, and course activity. These events help us understand which parts of the publication work and are retained for 30 days.
Analytics are disabled when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals, when you turn off usage analytics in the site’s About section, and during local development. These signals and the opt-out are applied to the analytics we control; other sites you visit have their own practices.
What stays in your browser
Topic interests and feed preferences are processed and stored locally in your browser. Search runs locally on your device. Search queries are not sent to an embedding service.
Other services
Article and paper links take you to the original publisher. Video playback may connect to the video host when you choose to watch. Those services may receive normal connection information and have their own privacy policies.
The site is hosted on web infrastructure and uses security and operational logs. Hosting providers or network services may collect information such as IP address, browser details, and request times as part of operating and protecting the service.
Email delivery has not launched. If you save interest in a future email edition, we store that consent with your account; we do not currently send the edition by email.
